TWIB NOTES – Colbert, Trump, Epstein and Israel

THIS WEEK IN BULLSHIT

As longtime readers will have noticed, I have over the last bunch of years restricted my writing to the sole topic of movies, television and pop culture and have assiduously avoided writing about politics and the like.

My reason for avoiding politics is because I find the whole charade of our current world to be so transparently propagandized and absurd as to be ridiculous…and so ridiculous as to be noxious…and I don’t want to play along in the cesspit just for the fun of it. Or, for the sake of brevity, I would rephrase all that to say – it’s all a bunch of bullshit.

But like Michael Corleone in the ill-fated Godfather III – just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in.

The reason I don’t want to write about politics or international affairs is because it feels like I am yelling into an abyss and no one will hear it and no one will care and nothing will ever change. Like some brutish, burly, bearded and bizarre Cassandra I shout the Truth from the top of my lungs but I cannot rouse the masses…or even the few…from their not-so-blissful slumber in their familiar bed of lies.

Usually all I get in return for my prophetic efforts and insights are flaccid accusations, empty allegations and impotent intimidations, none of which bother me in the slightest except to make me shake my head and laugh in astonishment at how blind and imbecilic many, if not most, people are.

But as the world, and this country, accelerates its spiral downward into the black hole of demonic darkness…I feel as if I need to say…something…anything. Maybe my lone light will be a beacon for others more capable, to do something to save civilization from its self-imposed suicide pact.

Or maybe, I am just pissing in the wind in the hopes of the fleeting feeling of my leg getting warm.

Who knows?

Anyway…here is a new edition of TWIB Notes (This Week In Bullshit), which in my youth used to be accompanied by the mellifluous tones of the great Mel Allen talking over baseball highlights on This Week in Baseball, but here is nothing but me silently ranting about the bullshit that so thoroughly encompasses modern life.

STEPHEN COLBERT

Let’s start with the most banal of bullshit, namely the furor over CBS cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Like the vast majority of people in this country, I have never watched Colbert’s late night CBS venture. But…I have on occasion seen clips of it on social media and such…and in my entirely not humble opinion…the show is awful.

Colbert himself has been funny in his life…for example he was much better suited for his previous show The Colbert Report where he played a flag-waving, O’Reilly-esque buffoon. That show, while heavy-handed and trite, was at least in its meta-state clever.

Colbert as himself is strikingly unfunny. His desperation to appease some imaginary, brain-dead neo-liberal centrist viewing block is as pathetic as it was misguided.

The apex of Colbert’s anti-comedy came when he did a propagandistic musical number where he sang glowingly about the Covid vaccine and danced with men dressed as syringes. Yikes.

The uproar over Colbert’s show being cancelled is the funniest thing Colbert-related in well over a decade.

Colbert fans…both of them…are arguing that CBS is cancelling the show because Colbert was too hard on Trump and the company is trying to salvage a relationship with Trump in the wake of his lawsuit against them and an attempted merger/recapitalization deal which will need FCC approval.

Do I think the Trump admin would pressure a network to cancel a show because it hurt Trump’s feelings? Yes. But Colbert’s show is such a nothing burger that his nightly attacks on Trump (or so I’ve been told) amount to nothing. It’s like the idea of if a tree repeatedly falls in the same exact spot in the forest every night but no one is there to hear it…did it really happen. The answer of course is…who gives a shit?

Colbert supporters make the argument that The Late Show is the highest rated late night tv show on the air…but that is like being the tallest midget in the freak show.

Colbert’s ratings, audience and ad revenue have declined rapidly, as have all the late-night shows.

The biggest miracle of all is that these late-night shows have lasted this long, as no one I know…and I really mean no one…watches this shit. Late night tv is over….and Colbert is not the last to get the boot…in fact, he’s only the first. Fallon, Meyers and Kimmel are dead men walking…and I have to say that unlike their comedy, that is something that makes me laugh.

TRUMP AND EPSTEIN

I saw a video clip on Twitter of right-wing talking head Glenn Beck giving one of his famous blackboard dissertations the other day. This dissertation was about Trump and the Epstein files.

Beck had written down a numbered list of reasons why Trump might have flipped so hard and decided that we must all ignore the Epstein stuff after running for election on releasing the Epstein files (and JFK files and UFO files etc.)…the list took up at least two full blackboards.

The first item on Beck’s list was something along the lines of “Trump had sex with underage Epstein girls”. Beck took his chalk and immediately put a big “X” through that one because as he informed us, there was no way in the world Trump had sex with fifteen-or-sixteen-year-old girls. Absolutely impossible. Beck then said that if the claim was Trump had sex with a 25-year-old supermodel, then yeah…it’s believable, but a teen girl? NO WAY!

That Beck clip made me laugh out loud because I literally couldn’t think of anyone else in public life who would be more likely to have sex with a fifteen-or-sixteen-year-old girl if given the chance than Donald Trump. Trump isn’t the only person in public life who’d have sex with a teen girl if available, not by a long shot, but he’s definitely atop the list of candidates…with Bill Clinton coming in at a close #1B.

So here is my very cursory break down on the Trump-Epstein thing.

Is it possible Trump is on the Epstein list? Yes.

Is it probable Trump is on the Epstein list? Yes.

Is it a metaphysical certainty that Trump fucked underage girls procured by Epstein? YES.

There is no other way to understand Trump’s behavior than to realize that he is now, and always has been, entirely compromised by the Epstein Mossad/CIA honeypot.

Yes…Trump is compromised by Israel through sex and money…I know…SHOCKING. Just kidding, it’s not shocking at all.

Trump is so obviously and blatantly compromised that he is willing to humiliate himself, his administration, his family and this country by fellating Israel every chance he gets. As do almost every other member of Congress.

What will happen going forward in this Epstein mess is that a series of superficial maneuvers that will all pretend to release information – be it a special prosecutor, or a Ghislaine Maxwell interview, or something along those lines, will occur, yet those maneuvers will only be done in order to further obfuscate the truth rather than reveal it.

The reality is that the true Epstein story cannot be revealed because once you pull that thread and follow it to its obvious and logical conclusion, the entire façade of American political life will crumble into dust….namely that the United States is an occupied country ruled over by Israeli overlords.

Epstein and his intelligence, political, financial and organized crime connections leads to very dark, dark places like JFK, RFK, USS Liberty, Watergate, Iran-Contra, The Franklin Affair/Johnny Gosch, 9-11 and on and on and on.

The Epstein thing is not just the Epstein thing…it is simply a postule that came to the skin as a symptom of a much, much deeper and deadlier disease, and that disease has infected every aspect of American life and is slowly but surely suffocating this country and will be the death of it.

ISRAEL

In today’s New York Times Bret “Bed Bug” Stephens wrote an op-ed titled “No, Israel Is Not Committing Genocide in Gaza”, which was, not surprisingly considering the writer, less an argument that Israel is not committing genocide than it was an apologia for the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza.

Essentially Stephen’s argument is that Hamas is to blame for everything bad that happens in Gaza, most especially the bad things Israel does in Gaza.

Of course, Stephens ignores the fact that, as the Times of Israel reported, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu propped up Hamas and gave them oodles of money to keep them going. There is also compelling evidence that Israel not only supported Hamas, but created them in the first place. They did all of this in order to destabilize Palestine and to have an excuse to never have a true two-state solution.

Bret Stephens also writes about the Hamas attack of October 7th – where Hamas murdered and raped Israelis. But Bret plays fast and loose with the facts and repeats the same old Zionist propaganda that is shoved down American’s throats every day.

First off – there is no credible evidence that any Israelis were raped by Hamas on October 7th (or that babies were put in ovens). The truth is that in regards to Israel – every accusation is a confession – as there is incontrovertible proof that Israel rapes its Palestinian prisoners…and this fact is not hidden by Israelis – it is celebrated.

The biggest point to make about October 7th is that it seems quite extraordinary that the world’s most secured and surveilled border was breached so easily and for so long by a rag tag bunch of terrorists. There are reports, again from the Times of Israel, that the Israeli government knew of the plans of the attack up to a year before it happened…and yet somehow it still happened. And it happened right before Netanyahu was set to go to trial for corruption that could end his political career and put him in prison – but this national security issue put all of that legal jeopardy on hold.

It is also an incontrovertible fact, reported by Haarertz, that a great number of the Israelis slain on that horrible day were killed by Israeli Defense Forces implementing the “Hannibal Directive” – which directs the IDF to kills Israeli’s in order to avoid them being taken hostage.

Here is the unvarnished and ugly truth, Israel is a state founded by terrorism and terrorists. If you study your history, you’ll learn that it was Zionists terrorists who invented the car bomb. These same terrorists blew up the King David Hotel and later became Israeli prime ministers (Menachem Begin).

Here are some more uncomfortable truths…Israel is an apartheid, rogue, terrorist state that has been attempting to ethnically cleanse Palestinians for nearly 80 years and is currently committing a genocide.

The irony that a Jewish state built upon the Holocaust of Jews in WWII by Nazis is now committing a holocaust itself is beyond irony and firmly entrenched in tragedy.

Israel is not just a vile state, it is an evil one. This becomes both self-evident and undeniable while watching Israel slaughter innocent women and children with a savage zeal unseen since the slaughter of Jews in WWII.

Then there is the grotesque starvation of the surviving population in Gaza, and the daily Israeli sport of killing the hungry as they queue for food…and the almost as grotesque defense of Israel by Zionists – like Bret Stephens and the rest of the mainstream media who lie as easily as the rest of us breath.

Now, there are lots of atrocities committed by lots of bad people all across the globe every day – none quite so morally and ethically grotesque as what Israel is doing right now, but still…the issue for Americans is that we are paying for this holocaust, we are aiding and abetting it…we are complicit.

Another nugget of uncomfortable truth is that Israel controls our government. How they do it is an open secret…they do it by controlling the media, controlling the financial industry, and by bribing politicians with AIPAC money or bullying them through “kompromat” – the Epstein scenario where politicians are caught up on honeytraps, or moneytraps, and Israel keeps them dancing on the end of the string doing what they are told like good little puppets.

For proof of this look no further than our politicians and government who contort themselves like spineless acrobats and fellate the Israeli state like cheap tarts at a red-light street whenever they can and whenever they’re told to.

One final uncomfortable truth is that the dispensationalist dipshit Evangelicals (like Senor Stool Sample - Ted Cruz) and the dual-citizen Israeli citizens in our country (and disproportionally in our government) are a fifth column of traitors who are committed (consciously or unconsciously) only to Israel and are willing to sacrifice America (and Americans) on the altar of Israel.

The best-case scenario for fifth-column Zionists like Bret “Bed Bug” Stephens and his ilk are that they are vermin infesting our country and spreading a rabid immoral, unethical social and political pestilence…the worst case is that they’re demons who have possessed the American soul and are committed to using us to do the Devil’s work.

No doubt I’ll be called an anti-Semite for thinking and writing these things, but spare me your contrived and manufactured disdain, I truly do not give a flying fuck what modern-day holocaust deniers call me. The truth is the term anti-Semite has lost all meaning and power because it is so obviously nothing but a rhetorical ploy used to silence dissent, obfuscate truth and avoid responsibility.

The very clear reality is that some of the most vociferous, insightful and righteous voices in opposition to Israel’s modern-day holocaust of the Palestinians are, in fact, Jews. You’d be hard pressed to find a more eloquent and ferocious anti-Zionists than Norman Finklestein, who routinely destroys Zionists and their arguments with a surgical precision and glorious aplomb. I’ll put Gabor Mate, Aaron Mate, Glenn Greenwald and Max Blumenthal among many others in that same category.

The truth is that conflating Zionism with Judaism is an unspeakably diabolical act as it makes all Jews complicit in the 21st century holocaust, despite many of them risking everything in fighting to oppose it.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, nothing will ever change.

Israel will keep slaughtering children and will never be held accountable. The U.S. will continue to defend Israel both diplomatically, legally, financially and militarily.

The Esptein evidence will never come to light and the powerful people that raped teen girls and committed criminal financial acts and acts of treason, will never face justice…at least not in this world.

And finally, the darkness that grows exponentially every day will not subside but will only expand.

I, for one, will go on living my life despite the darkness, finding love and light when and where I can…because the darkness is too far afield to stop. The die is cast. The beast isn’t slouching towards Bethlehem…it is already there, sitting atop a throne of skulls…most of them from Palestinian women and children. Rest assured though, the beast will devour us all soon enough…it’s just a matter of time.

Well…on that cheerful note thus ends this version of TWIB Notes….I sure could use some mellifluous Mel Allen musings right about now.

A Real Pain: A Review - On the Same Old Road Again

****THIS IS A SPOILER FREE REVIEW!! THIS REVIEW CONTAINS ZERO SPOILERS!!****

My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

My Recommendation: SEE IT.  A good but not great film that trods a well-worn path but features solid enough performances to be worth seeing.

A Real Pain, written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg and starring Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin, chronicles two adult cousins as they make a pilgrimage to Poland on a Holocaust tour to visit their late grandmother’s birthplace.

The film, which has a 90-minute run-time, had a limited theatrical release in November and is now available to stream on Hulu, which is where I watched it.

A Real Pain has a lot going for it, and some things going against it.

The best thing about this movie is that it is the type of movie, a dialogue-driven ‘two-hander’ featuring two skilled actors, that doesn’t get made enough anymore but should.

A Real Pain cost $3 million to make and made $12 million at the box office, and while that won’t buy many beach houses it’s an even enough split to consider the movie well worthwhile.

In addition, the movie is adult fare, which is a rare species nowadays. It isn’t geared toward adolescents but rather toward adults, and adults who either act like adolescents or know other adults who act like adolescents.

And finally, the film features what is sure to be an Oscar nominated performance, and very likely an Oscar winning performance, from Kieran Culkin.

The film follows Eisenberg’s David and Culkin’s Benji, cousins who grew-up together but have grown apart in adulthood, as they fly from New York City to Poland and go on a Holocaust tour with a group of other Jews. There’s an older married couple, a middle-aged divorced woman, and a black African survivor of the Rwandan genocide who has converted to Judaism.

What makes the film compelling are both Culkin and Eisenberg’s performances…but what makes the film a grating experience, are the characters Culkin and Eisenberg play.

Benji is a ne’er do well narcissist and David is a neurotic nebbish, and neither of them are even remotely likable. This isn’t the fault of the actors, it’s just the reality of the characters….and I found them to be annoying as hell, which makes for a less than ideal viewing experience.

This is just me but I have never enjoyed watching Larry David or Woody Allen, and Benji and David are sort of like very, very distant cousins to Larry David and Woody Allen respectively (very, very, very distant…but relations nonetheless).

Culkin’s Benji is supposed to be charismatic in his own peculiar, truth-telling way, but I found him to be repulsive…your mileage may vary. I had no sympathy for him, or even empathy, I just wanted him to go away. David isn’t much better. He’s such a milquetoast, anxiety-ridden wet noodle that I wanted him to disappear too.

Again, and this is important to say, it’s nothing to do with the actors…both Culkin and Eisenberg deliver very solid performances. While Culkin is getting the awards mentions, Eisenberg does equally worthy, but more subtle, work.

The truth is, as good a performance as Culkin gives, there is an air of familiarity to it that feels a little shticky. Benji is, in many ways, just Culkin’s character from Succession, Roman, except Jewish and poor. Culkin’s Benji, like Roman, is quick-witted and snarky yet allegedly good-hearted and tormented. In this way, Culkin’s performance definitely feels like he’s just doing his same old shtick with minor external variances.

That said, it’s a showy, actory part, and he does it well, and I assume Culkin will win an Oscar for it…so good for him and all the more power to him.

Eisenberg has a less showy part, and as is usual with him, is much more internally focused, and he does it well. He has a monologue in a restaurant that is particularly well-done, and smart actors will use it in acting classes and auditions for the next few years.

Eisenberg also wrote and directed the film and he did well enough on both jobs. The script isn’t earth shattering but it is structured well-enough and gives some decent scenes to the actors.

The filmmaking is pretty standard as there’s nothing earth shattering visually, but the movie has a decent pace to it and feels professionally put together, so kudos to Eisenberg on his directorial debut.

Now on to a rather uncomfortable issue, and this is without question a very uncomfortable thing to feel and to discuss, and that is that A Real Pain seems like it’s yet another movie in the Holocaust Cinematic Universe.

Hollywood loves to make Holocaust movies, and that’s understandable as that vile, calamitous event is ripe with drama, but considering the times we live in, and the genocide being actively committed against Palestinians by Israeli ancestors of those who survived the Holocaust, this film’s entitled woe-is-me narrative feels painfully tone-deaf.

The tone-deafness is only accentuated by the film’s rather alarming and arrogant usurpation of the Rwandan genocide for the Jewish narrative, as if Jewishness can be the only home for suffering on such a grand scale. This is a morally insidious and ethically insipid position as it creates a self-righteousness immune from self-reflection – which is how we get an apartheid regime in Israel committing genocide, ethnic cleansing and a cavalcade of other war crimes all in the name of “Never Again” self-defense.

It would have been nice if A Real Pain had been self-aware enough to acknowledge the deeper more conflicted state of Jewishness in the world today rather retread the martyrdom narrative once again, but I suppose that is the safest and easiest path to tread, so I get it.

Despite the combustible moment in which we exist, and the film’s discomfort with this bloody moment (to be fair the film was shot before the October 7th, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel and start of the ensuing war), I thought A Real Pain was worth watching.

The film features solid performances across the board, and is geared toward adults, so that’s two wins right there.

If you have a chance check out A Real Pain on Hulu. It’s not the greatest movie you’ll ever see, and it won’t change your life, but it will hold your interest and maybe, if you get lucky, it’ll make you think just a little bit about things you don’t want to think about but should. And regardless of what conclusion you come to through this thinking, it is always good to think about things you don’t want to from time to time.

Propaganda Watch - Ireland Edition

This past Thursday, a man stabbed and seriously injured five people, two women and three young children, at a school in Dublin, Ireland.

Anti-immigration protests broke out in response to the attack, which many believed to have been committed by an Algerian immigrant (a claim which has not been officially confirmed), and escalated into a riot, with police being assaulted, buildings and vehicles being burned, and stores looted.

The preceding two paragraphs are my simple attempt to describe in as journalistically neutral a way the calamitous events of November 24, 2023 in Dublin, Ireland. It could certainly use a few more drafts and an editor, but it is professional enough to be passable.

It wasn’t that hard to write those two paragraphs, and yet, perusing the coverage of the terrible events in Dublin on Thursday in the leading newspapers here in the U.S., one finds some egregious journalism, insipid bias, and blatant propaganda on display. When compared to these newspaper’s coverage of similar incidents, it reveals an ingrained bias and insidious level of propaganda that is alarming but not shocking.

Let’s start with the “paper of record” The New York Times.

The New York Times headline on its original article about the Dublin incident reads, “Rioters Clash With Police in Dublin After Children are Hurt in Knife Attack”.

At first glance this seems to be accurate, but when you read between the lines you realize the headline, and the story beneath, are a minefield of managed propaganda.

Let’s start with the phrase “children are hurt in knife attack”. This phraseology is intentionally meant to diminish the horror of the attack. Notice, the children are “hurt”, which is a passive descriptor, and the term “attack” is not a verb here, and is also passive.

Another way to write the headline would be to describe the incident as “children wounded in knife attack” or “children attacked by knife-wielding man”. Those descriptions create a much more visceral response regarding the attack, as opposed to the Times headline which tries to create the visceral reaction in regard to the riot which followed.

It's similar to how establishment media describe death in the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Israelis are “killed” (viscerally charged language – killing is ugly and brutal and the people who kill – the Palestinians – are to be regarded as actively evil) while the Palestinians “die” (passive – as if it’s a quiet and sterile act of God). There’s also the phrasing of Hamas releasing Israeli “hostages” while Israel releases Palestinian “prisoners”. How the establishment media wants you to react to a story is signaled in the semantics of the story.

Speaking of semantics, the term “rioters” is also a very distinct choice that intentionally carries with it a stigma and negative connotation meant to convey judgement and condemnation, placing the reader in opposition to the “rioters” and their cause. But is the term “rioter” the accurate choice?

A riot certainly broke out in Dublin on Thursday, so describing the people doing the fighting with police and burning and looting as rioters would seem accurate…except it didn’t start as a riot, it started as a protest and then escalated/spiraled out of control into a riot. An accurate description would be to say that “protests devolved into riots”.

The New York Times was not alone in their use of the term “rioters” and “riot” as both the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal did the same.

The Washington Post headline ignored the attack on women and children altogether and simply declared, “Far-Right Protestors Burn and Loot in Dublin in Worst Violence in Decades”. You’d be hard pressed to find a more biased headline than that to describe the events of November 24, 2023 in Dublin.

The Post article then goes on to describe how “…rioters, some wielding metal bars, smashed windows and looted shops in the city center.”

The Wall Street Journal opened with, “Ireland witnessed its worst civil disorder in decades after rioters marauded through Dublin city center looting shops and setting buses and police cars on fire in a spate of violence…”.

“Rioters marauding” is quite the creative flourish, and would make for a great band name or album title.

The picture painted by the Times, Post and Journal is pretty clear, that the “riot” and the “rioters” are much worse than the “incident” where five people were stabbed. Hell, The Washington Post ignored the attack in favor of the riots in their headline. These corporate media outlets make it even more clear of their intention by only quoting police and government authorities in their stories.

There are quotes from Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, who deemed the “rioters” to be “thugs”. And from Irish Justice Minister, Helen McEntee, who stated, “a thuggish and manipulative element must not be allowed use an appalling tragedy to wreak havoc…”.

There are numerous quotes from police officials, who blamed the riots on a “lunatic, hooligan faction driven by a far-right ideology”.

What was missing from every single article I read, and not just in the big three newspapers mentioned above, was a quote from someone who was actually attending the “riot” and/or participating in it.

As someone interested in journalism, it seems to me that finding out why these people are crazed enough to riot would be a pivotal piece to the story…but apparently not.

That’s not to say that the “rioters” motivations are ignored, they aren’t, as every article claims, without evidence, that the “rioters” are “far-right”, “anti-immigrant” hooligans. The only source for those claims are police and government officials.

You may be thinking, what is wrong with any of the preceding examples of journalism I have presented? Well, when seen in context with the establishment media’s coverage of other similar incidents, it tells quite a story.

Back in May of 2020, George Floyd died while being forcefully detained on a street by multiple Minneapolis Police officers. Floyd’s desperate pleas for his life and subsequent death were captured on video and quickly spread through social media, igniting outrage and protests, which descended into a riot which involved violence, burning and looting.

The previous paragraph is a passable paragraph describing the killing of George Floyd and the subsequent civil unrest with a minimal amount of bias injected. The term “killing” could replace the word “death” in the second sentence, but at the time it was not entirely clear what killed him…and frankly it’s still pretty murky to this day. That said, it is relatively accurate.

The New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal, were all very clear in describing the “rioters” in Dublin the other day. Interestingly enough, they never used the term “riot” or “rioter” to describe what happened in the wake of George Floyd’s death (now deemed a murder).

The headline of the Times’ article on Dublin blared, “Rioters Clash with Police”, but the Times’ headline regarding the unrest following Floyd’s death reads, “Fiery Clashes Erupt Between Police and Protestors”.

Notice how the story in Dublin is framed? “Rioters Clash with Police” makes it clear who is instigating – the “rioters”…not to mention the term rioters makes clear they and their cause are to be perceived negatively and with disdain.

In contrast, the violence between police and “protestors” in Minneapolis appears to simply be an act of nature, like a volcano, as “fiery clashes erupt”.

And of course, the rioters in Minneapolis are described as “protestors” throughout the reporting and never as rioters, thus giving them and their cause nobility and not tainting it with criminality, like the term “rioters” implies.

The Washington Post did the same, with their headline stating, “Protests Continue to Rage”.

The Post article features this astonishing paragraph, “Protesters broke windows and charged over fences to breach a police precinct station in Minneapolis and set it on fire late Thursday as officers retreated from violent confrontations that boiled over days after George Floyd died in police custody.”

The actions described, breaking windows, charging over fences and setting a police station on fire, are all very clearly acts that occur in a riot, and not at a protest…and yet the Post, as well as the Times and the Journal, never, not once, refer to the people who commit these acts as “rioters”. The “rioters” in Dublin all broke windows and lit things on fire, and were called “rioters” for it.

The Post article also quotes one of the “protestors” inside in the police station who is actively lighting it on fire. The quote reads, ““We’re starting fires in here so be careful,” one man shouted as sprinklers doused protesters who had burst inside. Flames began to rise from the front of the building as hundreds of protesters looked on, and soon smoke was billowing from the roof.”

Quoting this man, and the particular quote they use, is an obvious attempt to humanize the man, the “protesters” and the “protest” movement. You see, this “protestor” is concerned for human life and wants to make sure everyone is safe as he burns the police station to the ground. (I actually believe that this quote is manufactured by the reporter as it is just too perfect…but I cannot prove that) Why did the reporter use only that quote and not another? Curious.

Of course, the Post didn’t get any quotes from the protestors/rioters in Dublin, because that would illuminate their motivations and maybe even humanize them, something which apparently is anathema since it is so dangerous to hear their point of view.

The Wall Street Journal, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch and is right-wing, was no different in its coverage of the Floyd “protests”. The Journal’s original article says, “…protesters walked for 2½ miles to a Minneapolis police precinct. Some damaged windows, a squad car and sprayed graffiti. Police in riot gear formed into a line to confront the protesters and fired tear gas…”

The Journal never labels the “protestors” as “rioters”, despite the fact that the police were wearing “riot” gear….which is pretty funny. Why didn’t the police put on “protest” gear?

Another interesting comparison between the Dublin “riots” and the George Floyd “protests” is that these big three establishment media outlets all use police and government officials as sources and for quotes regarding Dublin, but not with regard to the Floyd “protests”.

These police and Irish government official’s claims are taken at face value and never questioned. When these officials call for “law and order” and declaring the “rioters” “thugs” and “hooligans”, it is seen as a positive and their actions noble in a fight against rampant hate and criminality.

In contrast, none of these three mainstream newspapers got quotes from police officials in their articles on the “protests” in the wake of George Floyd’s death. The only government official quoted was Trump who was painted as a tyrannical demagogue for calling the “protestors”, “thugs”.

Regardless of what you think or feel regarding the “riots” in Dublin or the “protests” about George Floyd’s death, the important thing to understand, and why I am writing this article, is that you are being relentlessly manipulated. How you think and feel is not a function of you rationally examining and weighing evidence. It is a result of you being emotionally manipulated through the use of subtle, and sometimes not-so-subtle, propaganda techniques.

The news you read or hear or watch, is manufactured and is a tool to manipulate you to into feeling how the ruling elite want you to feel.

In the case of Dublin, the globalists want you to decry anti-immigration sentiments and to see anyone who resists unfettered immigration as a “far-right”, racist villain, even though these Irish “rioters” may, in the case of Ireland (which has never been a colonizer – only colonized), be in an existential war to save the country and culture their ancestors fought for, and died for, for centuries.

The same manipulation is true regarding the George Floyd “protests”. The ruling elite want you to believe, and polls show an overwhelming majority of liberals do believe, that police are slaughtering unarmed blacks by the thousands every year. That is demonstrably false even though it “feels” correct according to media coverage.

Hyper-racialization and mass immigration are among the most valuable weapons used by the ruling elite to divide, conquer and pillage…and most of the people fall for it most of the time.

The bottom line is that, to quote the great George Orwell, “To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.”

Unfortunately, with attention spans and I.Q. dropping like flies in our insatiably emotionalist, social media saturated culture, fewer and fewer have the ability, or the will, to see what is in front of their nose and to sniff out the insidious and insipid establishment propaganda that is hiding in plain sight.

So, if you open your eyes and engage in the struggle, you’ll clearly see the mountains of bullshit in which they are currently rubbing your nose.

Chris Evans goes full Captain America, assembling a cavalcade of warmongering Washington avengers to discuss the Middle East

Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes 47 seconds

The gullible Hollywood star exposes himself to be a useful idiot for the military/intelligence industrial complex by producing a blindly orthodox new six-part discussion series on Yemen, Iran, Palestine, Syria and Saudi Arabia.

As the U.S. limps out of Afghanistan with its tail between its legs, and millions suffer and die under the most brutal of American-induced maladies from Syria to Palestine to Yemen and across the Middle East, I implore you to fear not as Captain America is now on the case.

Chris Evans, the movie star best known for playing the patriotic leader of the Avengers, Steve Rogers, in the multi-billion-dollar Marvel Cinematic Universe, is out to solve the world’s problems and has set his dazzling blue eyes and decidedly empty-head on the mess that is the Middle East.

In 2017, the dreamy Evans founded a civic media organization titled “A Starting Point” which he unironically claims is “non-partisan”. Thankfully for humanity, on August 31st, A Starting Point will air a new six-part series titled “Influence and Power in the Middle East” where “experts” discuss Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran and Palestine.

I was hoping that this series would feature such Captain America adjacent luminaries as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor and The Hulk, but unfortunately the line-up of speakers is considerably less impressive.

“Influence and Power in the Middle East” features a cavalcade of archaic establishment asses like George W. Bush’s National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley, Council on Foreign Relations president Richard Haass, former Secretary of Defense and CIA director Leon Panetta, and everybody’s favorite raving lunatic and former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton.

This is literally a murderer’s row of Washington warmongers, nefarious neo-cons and CIA criminals who have raped and pillaged the Middle East for the entirety of their kiss up-kick down careers. This is the equivalent of having Ted Bundy on a dating podcast to share his insights about women.

In addition, apparently former CIA operative Will Hurd is going to “host” these discussions, one could only hope that his experience “hosting” detainees during torture sessions in Afghanistan and Pakistan would be replicated with these vile villains.

If I wanted to see Hadley, Haass, Panetta, Bolton and a cavalcade of National Security lackeys and CIA shills spout their obscene and absurd military/intelligence industrial propaganda, I’d just turn on cable news, as CNN, MSNBC and Fox seem to exist solely to platform and/or employ these types of repugnant reprobates.

Speaking of the mainstream media, it’s nice to see Chris Evans, one of those hopeless Hollywood fools who endlessly espouses diversity in movie casting, emulate media business-as-usual with his A Starting Point charade by casting only people slavishly addicted to establishment orthodoxy for these discussions…no diversity of opinion here!

For example, Richard Haas and Dr. Jon Alterman, two pro-Israel shills, will discuss Palestine. I’m sure that will be immensely enlightening.

Another example is having Leon Panetta and John Bolton tackle Iran. Bolton is the John Bonham of banging the drum for war with Iran. You know what won’t get mentioned in that stultifying, establishment-friendly discussion? The U.S. shooting down of Iran Air flight 655, a civilian airliner, over Iranian airspace in 1988, killing all 290 men, women and children aboard.

What would be considerably more useful, noble and interesting would be if Chris Evans had used his oversized public stature to actually feature diverse opinions from diverse people, like…I don’t know…maybe have actual Palestinians discuss Palestine, and Iranians discuss Iran, and Syrians discuss Syria and Yemenis discuss Yemen. You know, platform people who never ever get a platform in American media.

And if Captain America really had a pair, he’d have Jamal Khashoggi’s widow and 9-11 victims’ family members come and discuss Saudi Arabia.

But we all know that Chris Evans is entirely devoid of not only testicular fortitude, but of brains.

Evans is such a moron that in 2016 he actually flew into a rage because he believed that Marlon Brando had literally anally raped his co-star Maria Schneider on camera at the behest of director Bernardo Bertolucci while filming Last Tango in Paris in 1971. Think about how breathtakingly ridiculous that is for a moment.

To be clear, Brando did not actually rape Schneider or have any genital/sexual contact with her while filming Last of Tango in Paris, any more than Clint Eastwood really shot people while filming The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. The sex between Brando and Schneider was entirely simulated, but when the egregiously gullible Evans read about a mis-informed rumor that the Brando story was true, he donned his white knight savior costume and valiantly tweeted.

“Wow. I will never look at this film, Bertolucci or Brando the same way again. This is beyond disgusting. I feel rage."

He followed that gem up by tweeting, “They should be in jail." The punchline being that Evans was unaware that Marlon Brando had been dead for a decade by the time Captain America courageously hit send on that tweet.

The reality is that Evans isn’t just an empty-headed imbecile but also a shameless establishment shill. This buff buffoon is no doubt great at doing pull-ups, but he has the intellect of a toddler in pull-ups.

Chris “Captain America” Evans obviously set out to prove with his ‘serious’ A Starting Point venture that he wasn’t just another vacuous but impossibly handsome Hollywood pretty boy, but by the looks of the “Influence and Power in the Middle East” guest list, I can confidently declare “Mission Not Accomplished!”, as he’s only proven himself to be just another useful idiot for the money-hungry and bloodthirsty military/industrial complex and corrupt Washington establishment.

Captain America famously said: “I don’t like bullies. I don’t care where they’re from. “ However, it would appear Chris does like bullies, especially if they’re from Washington.
